QNAP New AI Commercial Robot KoiBot Drives Modern Business Digital Transformation with Feature-Rich Applications

The new generation AI commercial robot KoiBot is equipped with more powerful hardware to ensure business services run smoothly, including a 10-inch display, 5 MP camera, four MEMS MIC (with sound localization features), two 5W stereo reflective speakers. The device also comes with multiple I/O ports (two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, one HDMI port, one micro SD or mini PCIe slot) and wireless connectivity (802.11a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth).

Taipei, Taiwan — September 29, 2020 — Synology Inc. launched the 3.84 terabyte SAT5200 2.5″ solid state drive. Designed for Synology users requiring high capacity and reliable storage arrays, all the while sustaining high performance low-latency operations for mission critical work. With the increasingly demanding environment in storage, the SSD is created with enterprise grade endurance and reliability to help businesses and users tackle intensive workloads with robust data protection.

“Part of designing a reliable storage system requires that companion drives that can consistently sustain heavy read and write operations without any performance degradation. Our SAT5200 SSDs are built specifically to tackle low-latency and consistent performance requirements demanded by our SMB and enterprise customers,” said Julien Chen, Product Manager for Synology solid state drives.

Designed specifically for Synology systems, SAT5200 SSDs are built to deliver consistently high and dependable performance, over 58,000 4K random write IOPS¹. Fight Against AgeLocker With QNAP: Install Software Updates and Follow Best Practices

(QNAP), a leading computing, networking and storage solution innovator, today issued a statement in response to recent reports and media coverage indicating that the AgeLocker malware is encrypting user data and demanding a ransom. Current intelligence pointed out that AgeLocker-affected systems are mostly macOS and Linux devices, and QNAP’s initial investigation showed that no unpatched vulnerabilities are found in QTS. All known affected NAS are running older, unpatched QTS versions. QNAP is carrying out a thorough investigation by working with other information security entities to ensure the security of all QNAP products.

QNAP have an uncompromising commitment to information security. Since unpatched devices are prone to information security threats, QNAP urges all users to update their device OS and apps to the latest version available. Users should also follow good information security practices such as using strong passwords and installing the Malware Remover app on their NAS. These will make the device harder to be breached, thus enhancing data security. QNAP has also released a security advisory for AgeLocker, detailing technical details and steps to mitigate threats. The advisory will be updated when necessary as the incident evolves.

Enabling Remote Work – VPN Plus Licenses Free Until September 30, 2021

The TS-x32PXU features high-speed 10GbE SFP+ and 2.5GbE RJ45 connectivity, a PCIe Gen2 x2 slot for flexible SSD caching with a QM2 card or adding network ports, while also providing a wide range of applications for SaaS backup, cloud backup, and cloud storage gateways. The TS-x32PXU series makes it easier for SMB IT staff to deploy high-performance hybrid-cloud environments to accelerate digital transformation.

The TS-x32PXU series is powered by a quad-core 1.7 GHz processor, supports up to 16 GB DDR4 RAM, and features two 10GbE SFP+ and two 2.5GbE RJ45 ports for high-speed storage, backup, sharing, and streamlined team collaborative workflows. Coupled with a QNAP QSW series switch, users can easily build a 10GbE network environment and allocate bandwidth more efficiently.

Business and data growth are closely linked, and the TS-x32PXU series can be scaled up by using QNAP TR RAID expansion units, TL JBOD, or by using QNAP’s cloud gateways (HybridMount or VJBOD Cloud) to leverage cloud storage spaces to build a unique hybrid cloud structure. The DS1621xs+ shares a powerful Xeon processor found in some of our datacenter bound devices, but now in an 11.5L chassis.
